The Commissioner for General Immigration reports that Hindu immigration to the United States is causing much concern, owing to the resulting economic disturbance. If the Hindus are allowed to enter the Philippines freely, he says, he doubts whether they will not thence be able to enter the United States without restriction. He refers to the utter failure to Americanise Hawaii, owing to the numbers of Japanese and other aliens,, and recommends that urgent steps be taken for this purpose.
