The New Zealand Loan end Mercantile Agenoy Company, Ltd., report:—At Eketaj huno. on Friday we had a good entry, of both Bheep and cattle. Competition ■throughout the sale was fairly animated and we report 1 almost a total clearance under tho hammer at the following rates: Forward conditioned ewes, 13s. 6d. to 15s. 7d.; backward do., 6s. 6d.; two-tooth wothers, 12s. Jd.j four-tooth do., 16a. 9d.; forward empty cows, £6 to £6 25.: store cows, £i 9s. to £3 14s. 6d.; heifers in calf, £4 2s. to £4 JOs.; fifteen-months steers, £3 35.; bulls, £1 lfe. to £3 12s. 6d.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having held their weekly sole at Toratahl on Monday. There was only a small yarding of etock, for which, there was keen demand, espeolally for. rape lambs, which were eagerly sought after. We report practically a total clearance at the following prices:—Two-tooth wethers, 14a Id.; forward conditioned ewes, 12s. 3d.; good rape lambs, 10s. 6d. to lis. 4d.; good rape lambs. 10s. sd. to lis. 4d.; medium ditto, 7s. 2d.; store ewes, 7s. lid.; forward cows, to £5 Is.
