WOODVILLE SHOW
Twenty-three years' ago the first A. and P. Show was held-in Voodville, then the centre for the greater . part of the Seventy-Mile and Forty-Mile Bush districts. Several similar flourishing institutions have since- sprung np, but the parent body still more than holds its own, both.iii quality and quantity of exhibits. It seeks as,its first object to improve the breed of stock in the district, and the show of dairy cattle would be hard to equal anywhere. Secondly, it aims to provide a good' day's outing, and to that end there are horse and ■pony jumping events, motor-cycle races,, a pony race, and a sheaf-tossing- competition. The prizes are excellent ,and jt should bo noted that the entries close with the secretary, Mr. W. A. Lyon, on Thursday, and that the show will be held on January 27.
