CASE FOR SEARCHING INQUIRY. London, Jauiary 8. The hearing of summonses charging J. Lyons and Co., Ltd., witl' selling a composition for the preparation of unsound meat as food for the troops quartered in the .White City, for whom they are catering, was' adjourned for a forteight, after preliminary evidence had been taken. ■ Counsel for the prosecution stated that, the charges involved a searching inquiry as to the conditions under which defendants have heen carrying out theii contract.
