How to Remove Ink-stains. Among the many virtues of a tomato is its power to remove ink-stains. The essential thing is that the remedy must be applied as rapidly after the need for it as possible. Place a fresh piece of blotting paper beneath the stain, and then nib over the surface a 6lice of raw, ripe tomato, substituting fresh piecos of blotting paper until the stain has disappeared. Mr. Bayly, and Mrs. 0. Bayly, of Toko, who motored through to 'Wellington early in the week, leave to-day on their return to Taranaki. A tea was given yesterday afternoon at Mrs.' Tondall's tea-rooms by Mrs. Radcliffe for Miss Pop3y Halse, whose marriage to Mr. Sligo, of Auckland, takes place Bhortly. Mrs. M'Kibbin, of Hastings, passed through Wellington yesterday on her way through to Christchurch.
