Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonviile sale as follows: A fair yarding of cattle and sheep came forward and sold at the following prices:— Extra priale bullocks, £16 7s. 6a.; prime heavy bullocks, £14 17s. 6d.; prime bullooks, £13 10s.; good wethers, Ws.; light wetherß, 21e.-7d. to 225.; prime ewes, 20a. to. 20s. 3d.;, lighter, 18s. to 18s. 6d.; plain ewes, 17s. 6d. •to 175.. 9d;; prime' lambs, 16s. 4d„ 16s. 8d„ to 16s. 10d.;" others;:' l i3s.,"to 16s. At Burnside to-day 240 fat cattle were yarded This was a, large entry, but a-s butchers'* supplies were cleared out and freezing buyers 1 were operating, prices ranged'from pat -to',,los. lower than last sale. Kates were as follow.—Prime bullocks, £13 to £15 10s.extra prime, to £20; medium to good, £11 ss. to £12; unfinished, £9 to £10. Prime cows and heifers, £12 10s. to £13 55.; extra, to £14 12s. 6d.; medium, £9 to £10 10s.; others, £6 to £8. There was a large yarding of fati sheep, 2957 being penned. The entry consisted principally of ewes, very few pens of good, quality wethers being in. Prices for wethers and good ewes were quite up to late rates, but medium ewes eliowed a decline of Is. per 305.; medium, 20s. 6d, to 225.; light, 18s. to head. Freezing buyers seenred several itrucks best wethers at 245. to 275.; extra, to 19s. Best ewes, 225. to'24s. ; . extra, to' 28s. 9d.; medium, 16s. to 175.: others, 13s. 6d. to 15s. Six hundred and fifty fat lambs were penned. Pricea showed l a drop of 3s. 2d. per head on rates ruling at ■ Christmas week sale. -' Beet. 17s. to 18s.; extra, to ZOs.6d.; medium, 14s. to 15s. .64:; inferior* 12s. 6d. to :13s. 6d.
