Marriage In Wellington. At 62 Bowen Street, the residence of the uncle of tho bride, Mr. Alex. W. Newton, Consul for Norway, Mr. Archibald M'lntyre, of Hamilton, Scotland, was married to Miss Esther Mary 8011, eldest daughter of Mr. James Bell, "Twyford," Hastings. H.B. Owing to the indifferent health of .the . bride' 6 mother, the wed Sing was a quiet one, the invitations were confined to the re-' lations of the bride and bridegroom. The'briae was married in her travelling costume, and Mr. and Mrs. M'lntyre left soon, after tho ceremony for Marlborough, where the honeymoon is to be, spent. The. bridegroom is going to the front with the next reinforcements, and this fact, as well as the 6tate of Mrs. Bell's health, made it necessary to have the ceremony in Wellington instead of at the family residence in Hastings. ,Wedding in the Synagogue. The marriage took place in the Jewish Synagogiio yesterday- afternoon of Miss Rachel Davis, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Davis, of Wellington, to Mr. Alexander Lust, third son of Mr. M. Lust, of Palmerston North. The Rev. H. Van Staveren performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown' of white charmeuse satin trimmed with ninon and pearls, and a veil with orange blossoms. Miss Annie Davis (sister of the bride) and Miss Dolly Lust (sister of the bridegroom) were bridesmaids, and: were'in white silk frocks; trimmed with lace. Mandel and Hannah Davis were page' boy and girl, and Mr. C. Lust,' brother "of the bridegroom, was ' best man.. Gibbons, of Auckland, formerly of Thames, and of the late Mr. R. P. Gibbons, to Mr; F. 0. Tattle, of Napier, fifth son of Mr. and, Mrs. George Tattle, of Kent Terrace, Wellington. The engagement is announced of Miss Zil'ah Tancred, youngest daughter of Mr. H. G. Tancred, Westown, New Plymouth, and grand-daughter of the lato Sir Thomas Tancred, Bart., to Mr. Raymond Lawrence, of the Julius Knight Company, elder son of Mr. Arthur Lawrence,. Liverpool, England.
