The annual tennis championship tournament, which opened on the Pahiatua courts on New Year's Day, was concluded on Monday.' The tournament, was a great success, the entries numbering over 160. The men's championship singles was won by Powdrell, of Wanganui; the ladies' championship singles by Miss Curtis, of Petone; the men's championship doubles.by Swainspti. and.'
