Scales, local agent for the Clan line. The Dalmore, 4717 tons, Captain Barry, is due in these waters early this monthj. to lift wool for London. The Dalmore sailed from Bristol on Ootober 23 for Australian ports. Tihe vessel, which was built in IM7, is owned by Dalblair and Co., Ltd., Glasgow.
MATATUA LEAVES HOME. A cablegram has been received by the head office of the Shaw, Sayill, and Albion Company, stating that the cargo-carrier Matatua left London for ■ Auckland, Wellington, and Timaru on December 31. She is due at Auckland on February 16, and at Wellington about February 21. OORINTHIO REPORTED. Bound from London to Hobart and Wellington, tho Sh*,v-Savill B.K.S. Corinthio left Cape Town ,pn January 3. The liner is due nero on' January 26. BAD WEATHER DELAYS DELPHIC. A wireless message has been received from Captain flymons, of the liner Delphic, stating that the vessel has been delayed by bod weather in the Tasmon Sea. Sh< was to have arrived at Wellington from London yesterday, but will not reach port till J o'clock to-day. ATHENIO AND WAIMANA. According to the fortnightly time-table issued by the head office of the Shaw, Baville and Albion Company, the Athenic and Waimana, which sailed from Egypt on December 18, are both due at Auckland on January 18. Cable advice has come to hand-stating that the 0. and D, liner Nerehana arrived at Liverpool on December 25 from Australian ports. • ' ■ . The Union Company's Waitemata, which left Vancouver on December 13 laden with 12,000 bushels of wheat, and 2500 tons ot general cargo, is due at Wellington about January 12. The vessel will proceed to 4ustralia to complete discharge. The New Zealand Shipping Company's mail steamer Remuera, which cleared London on November 27, is due at Wellington about. January 13. A proiocted departure from Montreal for New Zealand ports on December 25 waa the chartered steamer Borderdale. She Is scheduled to arrive at Wellington about March 15. Present arangemente ore that the Union Company's training steamer Aporima will arrive at Wellington from Calcutta on Sunday next. The vessel is discharging at Lyttelton, and will visit Timaru before coming on to this pon. Messrs. Bannaifcyne and Co. advise thai tho Wootton will proceed from Wellington to Kaikoura to-day to load sheep for Lyttelton. When the coastal steamer Defender has landed stores at Karamea she will load up with timber for Wellington. Advice has been received stating that the steamer Tokomoru, which cleared Wellington for London on December 9, continued her journey from Monte Video on January 2. The Araihura left Westport at 10.30 a.m. yesterday for Nelson, Picton, and Wellington. She is due in port at the usual time this evening. . Tho Shaw-Savill liner Woiwera, which is at present loading at Whangorei, is expected to clear Wellington for London on January 17. According to advice received by the looal office of the Huddart-Parker Co. the Wimmora left Melbourne for Hobart and Wellington at 5 p.m. on Monday.' She is duo here next Sunday, and will be dispatched for southern ports, Hobart Ana ' Melbourne, on Monday,' January 1. The Wimmora' has 430 tons of cargo or board for here. . En route from New York to New Zealand jKrts under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, the chartered steamer SHpton Castle was reported to be ait Colon, Panama Canal, on' December 9. She is due at Auckland next Saturday, and at Wellington about January 14. - The collier Kauri will proceed to New Plymouth from Wellington to-morrow, to put out the remainder of her Newcastle coal. The steamers Awahou and John wore placed on the Patent Slip yesterday for overhaul and survey. Coal below the usual standard was responsible for the ferry steamer Maori being two hours late in. arriving at Wellington from Lyttelton yesterday morning. Tho delay caused inconvonionce to passengers who wished to oateh early express trains for tho north. Sydney files to hand state that the German steamer Birkenfols, whioh has been detained at Capo Town since tho beginning of tho war, is to resume her journey to Australia early this month. An expected arrival at Melbourne from New York yesterday was the'steamer Trafalgar. Sho has been chartered by tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company to load in New Zealand for Homo next month.
