Mails for Tonga, Bomoa, and Fiji, close at Auckland, per Atua, on Tuesday, Jan--12, at 10.45 a.m. The advertised timeß for closing mails by steamers aro liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. The Parcel-post Mail per Main Trunk Express closes at the 0.P.0; at 11.30 a.m., and for. the South per Ferry Steamer at 6.45 p.m. Parcels for. dispatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of the rßual Ferry Steamers for Southern offices, close at the Chief- Poßt Office. Wellington, one hour before tho advertised times of closing of mails. As the last clearance of the City receivers is made at 5.45 p.m, on Saturdays, all oorespondonce for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday. . , The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. All books and sample-packets and newspapers for places -within the Dominion must bo posted half an hour before tie ordinary letter-mail closes. Unless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money-orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. All the principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Couirtenay Place Post Offices at tho same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exceptidn that thcro is no late-efe clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for Southern offices close at 5.45 p.m. Mails for Auckland and Auckland district per second Main Trunk express close at Courtemay Place'at 5.45 p.m. and Te Aro at 8 p.m. A.
