Barnes (Ruy Lopez): Barnes again lost a\pawn in the opening, but getting a counterattack, forced the position with : a rook Haorifice, Pleasants resigning on the 32nd move. ' . Hicks v. Selling (Caro Kann).—Selling won a pawn, and pushing his advantage/brought about Hicks s resignation at move 37. ' ', Hill v. Moore (Ruy Lopez).—Moore got into difficulties. lost a piece, arw. resigned on the 35th move. ' . Buckett v. Dodds (Buy Lopez).— Dodds, after missing ,a chance to win a piece, lost the exchange, . Buckett , scored on the 62nd move. ; • 0. E. Fox v. Mara,(Frencl Defence). ! —Fox acquired a Btrong, position, and forced Mara's resignation at move 28. Grierson v. ' B. G.
