Barnes (Ruy Lopez): Barnes again lost a\pawn in the opening, but getting a counterattack, forced the position with : a rook Haorifice, Pleasants resigning on the 32nd move. ' . Hicks v. Selling (Caro Kann).—Selling won a pawn, and pushing his advantage/brought about Hicks s resignation at move 37. ' ', Hill v. Moore (Ruy Lopez).—Moore got into difficulties. lost a piece, arw. resigned on the 35th move. ' . Buckett v. Dodds (Buy Lopez).— Dodds, after missing ,a chance to win a piece, lost the exchange, . Buckett , scored on the 62nd move. ; • 0. E. Fox v. Mara,(Frencl Defence). ! —Fox acquired a Btrong, position, and forced Mara's resignation at move 28. Grierson v. ' B. G. Fox.—Grierson scored b.y default. Severne, a bye. ■ ■; In Round 10, C. E. Fox won from. Dodds, and Kelling from Moore. Buckett scored from B. G. Fox by default. Hicks has won 'two pawns from Grierson, and Barnes, has won a pawn from Severne. The game Pleasants v. Hill is l about level. Each of _ theso three games requires a third sitting. Mara has the bye.
