BIS MEETING AT TRENTHAM
CONCLUDING DAY The annual meeting of the Wellington Rifle Association was concluded 'at Trentham on Saturday, in beautiful weather. The heat was of course severely felt, but otherwise it was excellent weather for shooting, and on the whole the .targets gave evidence of good marksmanship. Rifleman H. R. Hunt, of tho Suburbs Defence Rifle Club, put up the best performance of the meeting. Among the three aggregate prizes he won he secured the Licensed Victuallers' Cup and a special trophy presented by Messrs. E. W. Mills, Ltd.. for the short range aggegate._ . Thi6 makes the third year in succession that the Suburbs Club has won the former clip. Rifleman Hunt also seoured tho Championship aggregate and the Championship gold medal, valued at £3 3e. The Cadet Championship was secured by R. P. Ray ward, of Wellington College, who holds for one year the championship belt and an arm badge.
