Tho War Offioe announces the reor- ' ganisation'of tho British forces 'I>y tho ! creation of armies each generally consisting of three army corps. _Genorals Sir Douglas Haig, Sir H. L. Smith Dorrien, Sir Archibald Hunter, I Sir lan Hamilton, Sir Leslie' Rundlo, and Sir Bruco Hamilton command tho ; flrst to the' sixth armies inclusive. r ' Ctenoral Sir Douglas Haig and [ General Sir H. L. Smith Dorrion were together with General Pulteuey sent in command of tho threo army corps sent to France in August. Sir Archibald Hunter and Sir Leslie Rundlo served under Lord Kitohener in the Egyptian 'campaign and also in South Africa. Sir (Leslie Rundlo has been Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Malta since 1909. Sir lan Hamilton visited Australia and New Zealand as Inspector-General of Overseas Forces, and his retard is well known. Sir Bruce Hamilton has had the Scottish command since 1909. Ho "went through tho South African campaign, /was mentioned six times in dis-' patches, and was promoted to Major--1 General.
