The Bishop of Hereford (says the "Manchester Guardian") has received a telegram stating that his son, Lieuten-ant-Colonel Arthur Jox-Blake Percival, D.5.0., has been decorated with the Legion of Honour. Colonel PercivaV who is forty-four yoars of age, belongs to the sth Fusiliors, and! is serving as a General Staff officer to Major-General Munro,'commander of the 2nd Division of the Ist Army Corps in tho Expeditionary Force. . He was in the Sudan war of 1898, for which he received a British medal and the Khedive's medal and clasp. During the South ■ African campaign (1899-1902) he took part in the advance on Kimberley, including the fighting on Modder River, and was three times mentioned in dispatches. Ho was awarded the Distinguished Service Order, besides receiving tho Queen's medal and four clasps and the" King's medal and two clasps. From 1905 "to 1906 ho was again in tho Sudan under Lord Kitchener, was mentioned.in dispatches, and qualified for staff service.
