Usually the most we can find is a quiet civilian, humbly hoeing weeds. ;' There are so many Belgian refugees here, that it is difficult to got hold of the snipers. One of our officers was shot by.one be., tween our. 'guns,and--the regiment. Theso men are specially detailed to pick off officers.■ The Sikhs are-stalking and silencing them now. . The tales of German atrocities which you read about are perfectly truo. I have seen some 'pittful sights, especially among rofugees. .'•
