'A special committee of the London Chamber of Commerce allocated the consignments of food sent by the Sydney Chamber of Commerce to English and Welsh municipalities; also toTiospitals which are receiving wounded; Large quantities were distributed to Belgian refugees and French soldiers' families. In the action against the HamburgAmerican liner Scandia, now sheltering in the Dutch East Indies, for the delivery of goods, the Java Court has ordered the delivery of the cargo without the payment of general average or cost of discharging. It is believed the judgment has an important bearing on the shipments of several Gorman vessels bound for Australia iio'w sheltering .in the Dutch East Indies.
