Mr.W. H. Hannah, who has been assooiated with the local branch of the Department-of Agricalture for some time past, has been transferred to Blenheim, and will bo succeeded' here by Mr. Hubbard, brother 1 .of Mr. A. T. P. Hubbard, of Masterton: At St. Mark's .Church, on Wednesday afternoon; Miss Minnie Archer, daughter of Mrs. Archer;'sen., of Clnroville, was married to. Mr.' Siias Rayner, of "Woodlands," : Parkvalc. ■' ' The Carterton .tradesiiien have decided to close their business premises from Thursday night-till Monday morning for tho New Year.holidpys.
