OVERHEAD EQUIPMENT AND TRACK. : •Throughout the whole of the duplications and the extension the electric lines are to b© carried in, duplicate, and to be supported by side pcles and span wires. The system is known as the double insulator system, and is so constructed that no insulation depends on any one insulate. ' 5 ! : The overhead line will be put up in half-mile sections, and arrangements' will be made to fuse and break these sections and so insulate any one section at any moment. Cuirent will be supplied along the overhead line at 500 to 550 volts or thereabouts. ■ . The rails are to be of substantial construction, and of 95. pounds weight per yard section. The' rails are to be laid on concrete sleepers. , All the Tails are to be doubly bonded and the two tracks, whero they run side by side, will be cross bonded at-con-venient intervals. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that plane longitudinal sections and cross sections showing the nature of the work proposed to be'undertaken, together with a description thereof, and a draft, of the Order-in-Council proposed to .be submitted to the Governor for approval, are deposited in the office of the-.Town Clerk of the said Council, situate in Cuba Street in the City of Wellington, and are there open- for inspection by, all persons without fee during office hours, Dated the 24th day'of December, 1914.
