TWO BODIES FOUND AT TE AWAITE. '■ A telephone message was received at local police headquartere yesterday that another body had been washed up on the beach at Tβ Awaite. This is the second one within the past few days as on Christmas Day a body, believed to be one of the seamen off the Kahu, was washed up on the beach. It was at first thought that the second corpse was that of Mr. Leers, of the Kami, lut on examination this was found not to be 50. It will be remembered that some' weeks back three seamen off the Kahu were drowned through the upsetting of a eurf boat when loading wool. CHINESE GARDENER'S SUICIDE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Clsborne, December 28. Wong Mun Cheong, a Chineso gardener, aged 60, hanged himself to a bluegum tree at Mangapapa. He had suffered some gambling losses. LITTLE BOY KILLED BY A TRAIN. Stratford, December 28. An accident, resulting fatally, occurred on Saturday afternoon at Kohuratahi. The seventeen-months-old son of Ralph Bush, a carpenter at Kohuratahi, strayed on to the railway line, was caught by the cowcatcher of a public works train, and received severe scalp wounds. He was brought to Stratford Hospital, but died on Sunday morning.o

MOTORIST'S NECK BROKEN. ■ Marton, December 28. On Christmas morning John Fletcher, aged 41, of Bulls, was tilled instantaneously through driving a motor-car into a bridge. The rail of the bridge struck him on the face, breaking his neck. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned. THROWN FROM A HORSE AND DROWNED. Nelson, December 28. Erie Byrne, of Petone, living with his grandfather at East Takaka, was found dead in two feet of water yesterday. He was riding a horso, when it bolted, and deceased was thrown into the East Takaka River. OHILD CHOKED TO DEATH. Nelson, December 28. A child named lan M'Leod, four years of ago, was choked through swallowing a paper cigarette holder. Death occurred in a few minutes. 6HOT WHILE MUSTERING SHEEP. Nolson, December 28. Douglas Broomwell, 16 years of age, met with a serious shooting accident at Baton on Christmas Day while mustering sheep. Hβ prodded one with the butt of a repeater rifle, which went oil, the bullet lodging in Broomwell's groin. The injured lad -was removed to the Nelson Hospital. The extent of the injuries are not yet ascertained.
