BIBLE CLASSES

ELEVENTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE, (By TeleeraDh.—Press Association.) Core, December 28. The eleventh annual Bible Class Summer Conference of the. Presbyterian Church wae officially opened on Saturday evening. An address of welcome was given by the Rev. J. M. Simpson, local Presbyterian minister. Mr. G. JAnderson and the Rev. Henry B. Gray, president of the conference, replied. Mr. Fraser Barton, organising secretary, also replied. Ho stated that 767 members lad been registered to date, which constitutes a record. He read Christmas greetings from various parts of New Zealand, and, stated that at least 100 of the best young men connected with Bible classes wero not present on account of having responded to the call of King and country. Approximately 300 Bible-class boys had gone to the front. There- were largely-attended church services yesterday, and Bible study was proceeded with to-day.
