THE IDEAL HOME CHART.

Women who do their own dressmaking at home are always glad to hear of any means by which they can reduce the art of cutting out and fitting to its simplest terms without sacrificing effect and variety. Dress cutting by the Ideal Home Chart, as demonstrated by Miss Bagley, appears to have successfully accomplished the uncommon combination, and from the charts which are used in this system an astonishing variety of garments can bo made, the directions being very simple and clearly given. Several schools are already following Miss Bagley's methods and the judges of the sewing, as woll as the teachers, have spoken with appreciation of the results. The adaptability of the chart measurements to any size required, whether tho person be largo or small, stout or thin (or oven the smallest of children), and the extreme simplicity of their directions have much to recommend them while from the foundation which they supply can bo made the daintiest and prettiest of clothing. Blouses, frocks, and underclothing, usually a formidable undertaking to tlio novice is made interesting and easy by this method, and the woman with ■ tasto and imagination should find' it a valuable ally. Miss Bagley has invented a special ruler which is supplied with the charts and it has been proved to be extremely useful. > ~,
