Shortly after 6 a.m. yesterday the Union Company's Moeraki arrived at Wellington from Hobart and Sydney. The vessel berthed at the Queen's Wharf, No. 1 north, at about 8 a.m. Fine weather was experienced on the run across the Tasman Sea till Monday, when the Moeraki ran into a strong south-west, gale. Leaving Wellington for London last evening the New Zealand Shipping Oompany's steamer TJongarirr took the following dairy produce from the undermentioned ports:— Prom Auckland: 42,502 boxes butter and 1992 crates cheese. From Gifiborne: 395 boxes butter. From Wellington: 2007 boxes butter and 10,635 crates cheese. From Timaru: 354 boxes butter. GREYMOUTH WEATHER BOUND. Report* received from Greymouth yesterday stated that the weather had cleared, and a light southerly wind wae blowing. There was a heavy 6ea on the bar, however, and a strong "fresh" in the river, which had prevented any shipping movements taking place during the dey. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Telegraphic advico received from Westport vesterday stated that the Arahura had cleared that port for Nelson, Picton, and Wellington at 2 p.m. She is due here this evening, end will make trips to Picton and Nelson to-morrow. The head office of the Shaw, Savin, and Albion Company has been advised that the steamer Karamea left Liverpool for Australian ports on December 19.- The vessel will load in Now Zealand for Home, sailing finally in March. As the coastal steamer Opouri has bee® seriously delayed by bad wwthcr on tne West Coast, she will not arrive at Wellington from Lyttclton to load for Greymouth and Hokitika till December 31. Provided the weather is favourable, the Union steamer Kanna will leave Greymouth for Sydney to-morrow.

The Corlnna left Wellington for New Plymouth yesterday. She will remain at that port till December 28, when ehe will sail for Wellington with dairy produce for transhipment to the Mamari for Home. Two days earlier than expected, the Shaw-Savill chartered steamer Angta-Br.v zilian has left Sydney for Auckland. She is due at the northern port on December 27, and alter loading at various New Zea'and ports will be dimatchod from tho Bluff for London on February 2. The Shaw-Savill liner Mamari left Gieborne for Auckland early yesterday morning. The vessel is scheduled to leave Wellington for London on January 4. The Union Company's steamer Taviunt arrived at Auckland from Samoa and other Islands in the Pacific at 11.30 a.m. yesterday. She will lay up at the northern port till next month, sailing from Auckland for the Eastern Pacific on Tuesday, January 19. The White Star liner Zealandic, which cleared Wellington at 6.10 a.m. on November 27 for London, continued her jonrney from Rio de Janeiro on December 19. Advice has beeu received by the local agents for the Northern Steamship Company stating that the Rarawa's trip from Onehunga to New Plymouth on January 1 and New Plymouth to Onehunga on January 2 has been abandoned. Cable advice hae been received stating that the A. and A. Line's chartered steamer Hallamshire left New York for New Zealand ports on December 19, via Panama Canal. Wellington should be reached about February 3. liaden with Vanoouver and Ban Francisco cargo, tho Union Company's chartered steamer Wyandotte arrived at Auckland at 6.20 a.m. yeeterday. Her southern transhipments will be sent forward by coastal steamers. The coaMal steamer Wakatn has made a trip from Lyttelton to Kaikoura and back with wool. She will arrive at Wellington to-morrow, and will remain here during the Christmas holidays, sailing on December 28 for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. An, expected arrival at Auckland from Newcastle to-day is the New Zealand Shaping Company's obartered steamer Queen Margaret. She will commence loading for London at the northern port. Tlie F. and S. Lino's chartered steamer WJiakatanc, which is now discharging Liverpool cargo at Anckland, had 87C0 tons on board for Now Zealand ports, 2100 tons of which are for Wellington. Tho vessel is due here on December 28.

Homeward. loading will bo continued at Gisborne by the C. and D. liner Indrapura to-day. Subsequently tlie vessel will go on to Napier and Wanganui, and she i 6 duo at Wellington on January 20 to complete. Departure will be taken for London on January 22.

The Government steamer Hinemaa arrived at Auckland from East Coast light houses yesterday afternoon. She will work Ponui lighthouse pa«csige to-morrow morning'and will return to Auckland in the evening where she will romain, till after the Christmas holidays, fhe Hinemoa is scheduled to leave Auckland for Honralti Gulf and northern lighthouses early on Monday morning. .
