New South Wales won the maitch against South Australia for the Sheffield Shield by 174 runs. New South Wales, in' their'second innings, compiled 366. South _ Australia made 282 in their second innings, of which Campbell, made 25, Steele 100, and Sterling 54. The third annual inter-University College cricket matoh—Otago University v. Victoria University College—will take place on the Wellington Collego ground next Saturday and Monday, December 26 and 28. The teams are:— Otago: Adams, Eggleton, Simpson, Alloo, Smith, Reid, Childs, De Beer, Graham, Tweedy, and Price. Victoria CollegeDempsey, Duncan, Caddick, F. Joplin, C. Joplin, Martin, Ward, Fanning, Graham, Blake, and Broad. Of the' two matches played to date, both have been drawn. Play commences at 9.30 on Saturday.
