ADDITIONAL EXPRESS TRAINS, PALMERSTON NORTH-AUCKLAND. 18th December to lOtli January (inclusive) Extra express trains will :un between Wellington and Auckland as inder :— FOR AUCKLAND (Daily except Sunlays), Wellington (Tborndon), dep. 2.0 p.m., Auckland arr. 7.50 a.m. FOR WELLINGTON (Daily except Saturdays), Auckland depart 9.52 p.m., Wellington (Thorndon), arr. 3.59 p.m. NOTE—The last day on which the sxtra express train will leave Auckland will be 10th January. The last day on ivhich the extra express train will leave Wellington will be 9th January. From 22ud December to 3rd January, inslusive, additional express itrains will run betwen Palmerston North and Auckland as under:— FOR AUCKLAND (Daily except Sundays)—Palmerston North aep. 3.18 p.m., Auckland arrive 6.17 a.m. This train leaves Palmerston North on 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 31st December, Ist and 2nd January. FOR PALMERSTON NORTH (Daily except Saturdays)— Auckland dep. 6.58 p.m., Palmerston arr. 9.47 a.m. This train leavea Auckland on 22nd, 23rd, 21th, 27th, 31st December, Ist and 3rd January. The Palmerston-Auckland and Auck-land-Palmerston additional express trains will make the same stops as the ordinary express trains. WELLINGTON-WANGANUI RELIEF MAIL TRAINS. From 21st December to 4th January,' inclusive (except Sundays) relief mail trains, maldng .the same stops as the ordinary mail trains, will run between Wellington (Thorndon) and Wanganui as. under:— FOR WANGANUl—Wellington dep. 7.45 a.m., Paekakariki 9.9, Palmerston arr. 11.25 a.m., Wanganui arr. 2.40 p.m. FOR WELLINGTON (Thorndon)Wanganui dep. 11.15 a.m., Plimmerton dep. 2.36 p.m., Paekakariki 5.15, Johnsonville fi.34, Wellington arrive 6.55 p.m. Passengers for and from WanganuiWellington Stations will require to travel by these trains. NOTE.—There will NOT be a diningcar on the Wellington-Wanganui relief' mail trains. NOTE.—From 19th December to 9th January, inclusive (except on 25th and 26th December and Ist January—see. special time-table for these days), the tram usually leaving Palmerston North for Wellington at 5.0 p.m. will leave at 5.13 p.m. WAIRARAPA TRAINS. From 21st December to 4th January, inclusive (except Sundays and Ist Januarysee special time-table), Extra passenger trains, stopping where required for passengers, will run between Wellington and Masterton, as under:— FOR JIASTERTON—WeIIington dop. G. 40, 8.30 a.m., I ] clone 6.58, 8.48 a.m., Lower Hutt 7.3, 8.5G a.m., Upper Hutt 7.37, 9.40 a.m., Jlasterton arr 10.45 a.m., 12.38 p.m. FOR WELLlNGTON—Masiterton dep. 2.0, 4.41 p.m., Upper Hutt 5.0, 7.43 p.m., Lower Hutt 5.40, 8.21 p.m., Wellington arr. 6.2, 8.43 p.m. NOTE.—From 21st December to 4tV January, inclusivo (except Sundays), the 7.50 a.m. train Wellington to Woodville will take up passengers from Wellington, Petone, and Lower Hutt only for Jlasterton and stopping stations north of 'lasterton, and will not stop- to take up or set down passengers between Upper Hutt and Solway inclusive. Passengers from Upper Hutt-Solwny inclusive for north of Masterton should on these dates (except Ist January—see special timetable), travel to Masteuton by the.train leaving Upper Hutt 7.37 a.m., Featherston 9.30 a.m., Greytown 9.32 a.m., Curterton 10.19 a.m., and join tho through train at Masterton.

The 12.57 • p.m. Woodville-Wellington train will not stop for passengers at any station between Masterton and Upper Hutt inclusive. Passengers from north of Masterton for stations at which _ this train will not stop must change trains at Masterton. Passengers from stations Masterton to Upper Hutt inclusive for Ferry Steamer should travel by the train leaving Masterton 2.0 p.m., Carterton 2.25, Feathers ton 3.1 p.m., "Wellington arrive G. 2 p.m. The train usually leaving Carterton for Woodville at 4.20 p.m. will leave at 4.15 p.m., Masterton at usual time.

WELLINGTON-PALMERSTON NORTH. On 24th December, in addition to the ordinary time-table trains, tho extra express .trains and the relief mail trains, the following special trains will rum— FOE PLIMMERTON—WeIIington, dep. 3.25 p.m. NOTE—The 4.13 p.m. train from Wellington will not take passengers for stations between Wellington and Tawa Flat. FOE PAEKAKARIKI—WeIIington dep. HUG p.m. FOR JOHNSONVILLE—WeIIington dep. 11.45 p.m. FOR PALMERSTON NORTH, WANGANUI, AND NAPIER-Wellington dep. 11.25. p.m., Paekakariki 12.55 a.m. on 25th, Otaki 1.45, Levin 2.15, Palmerston arrive 3.40, Wanganui arrive 7.50 a.m. This train will not stop between Wellington and Paekakariki, but north of there stops whero required. NOTE.—Passengers for stations Terrace End (Palmerston North-Woodrillo line). Napier and intermediate 6tations, change trains at Palmerston North.

FOR WELLINGTON—Plimmerton dep. 5.8 p.m., Johnsonvillo 5.59 p.m. Passengers from Ngaio, Khandallah and Johnsonvillo who are going beyond Plimmerton must proceed to Plimmerton by the 3.25 p.m. train, and join the through train at that station. Passengers from any station between Ngaio and Pukeroa who are going beyond Paekakariki must proceed 'to Paekakariki by the 10.46 p.m. train and join the through train at that station. The Napier-Thorndon Down Mail train will not stop between Paekakariki and Wellington except ait Johnsouville to take up passengers. TE ARO-WOODVILLE. Additional trains will run ts follow:— FOE LOWER HUTT—Wellington dep. 11.0 p.m. FOR UPPER HUTT—Wellington dep. 4.5 p.m., 11.30 p.ui. FOR MASTERTON—Wellington dep. 11.45 p.m., Petone 12.10 a.m. on 25th, Lower Hutt 12.17, Upper Hutt 12.57, Featherston 2.4G, Greytown 2.50 (arr. 3.17), Carterton 3.28, Masterton arr. 3.54. This hain will stop between Wellington and Upper Hutt only to lift passengers for north of Upper Hutt; north of Upper Hutt it will stop at all stations as required. FOR "WELLINGTON—Upper Hutt dep. 0.40 p.m., Masterton dep. 11 p.m., Carterton 11.35 p.m., Featherston 12.25 a.m., on 25th. These trains stop at all staitions, as required. NOTE.—The 4.25 p.m. Wellington-Mas-terton train will not atop' for passengers between Wellington and Upper Hutt. Passengers from Kaiwarra-Wallaceville, and intermediate stations for north of Upper Hutt must travel to Upper Hutt by tho train leaving Wellington at 4.5 n'.m. and join the through train at Upper Hutt.

25th DECEMBER (CHRISTMAS DAY). WELLINGTON-PALMERSTON NORTH. With the exception of tho WellingtonAuckland Up and Down, ordinary and extra express trains the Wellington-New Plymouth and Wellington-Napier Mail trains, the Wellington-Wanganui relief mail trains, the 7.0 a.m. Palmerston North-Wellington, the 4.13 p.m. Welling-ton-Palmerston North trains, which will run as usual, the oidinary time-table will be suspended. Other trains, stopping, if required, at all stations (except otherwise specified) will run as under-. — DOWN. . FOR WELLINGTON—Palmerston North dep. 4.20 a.m., Paekakariki 7.0 a.m., 4.43 p.m. NOTE.—Tickets from stations between Wellington and Paekakariki inclusive to any station heweon Wcltlington and Paekakariki inclusive will NOT bo available i,y the Auckland express trains, the New Plymouth aud Napier Mail trains, cither on tho outward or return journey (except that passengers from Johnsonvillo may travel by the Napier-Thorndon Down .Mail train holding suburban tiokcts).
