SLe can givo points to the average expert -in tho manipulation of a motor-car, and, though tne authorities at first demurred at the idea of letting a young girl take risks, her qualifications were so excellent that Bhe has practically, under Lord Kitchener's eagle eyo, won her way to the front._ She helps to transfer wounded soldiers from field to hospital. She iB probably the first woman, and certainly the first young girl, who has been appointed to such a position, and her example is naturally firing other girls who handle motor-cars skilfully to go and do likewise.
