ANXIOUS FOE PEACE (Rec. December 23, 1.15 a.m.) New York, December 21. 'A prominent neutral diplomat in Vienna has telegraphed the American authorities to the effect that Austria's leading financial and commercial men are anxious for peace, but reports, aocarding _to the diplomat, assert that Italy will declare war against Austria, in January.
