IMPORTANT FIXTURE ABANDONED (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, December 21. A cablegram was received to-day by Mr. A. M. Bryden, secretary of the Dominion Bowling Association, to the effect that the Sydney Easter carnival had been abandoned. As it was the intention to send an official New Zealand team to the Australian carnival the Dominion Executive met to-night and decided to extend the time for entering for the Dominion tournament, which will be held at Auckland in January, until Saturday next.
