MASTERTON NOTES.
The Wairarapa" Polo Club officially opened the season oil Saturday, when matches were played between teams chosen by the president and • vicopresidont. There was a large attendance of spectators, and the sum of £11 was taken at the gates in aid of liie Belgian Fund. The championship oricket matches were continued on Saturday, when Carltun A defeated Carlton B by 145 runs. Masterton B, in its match against Masterton' A, completed its first innings for 203 runs, and in the second innings had one wicket down for 71 runs. Masterton A, in their second innings, knocked up 232,' of which Blackmoro scored 133 not out.
