HOSPITAL BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Welling'ton Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday afternoon. There were present: Rev. W. A. Evans (chairman); Mrs. -D. M'Laren, Messrs. H. Baldwin, P. Castle, D. Campbell, H. Freeman, W. Galloway, J. W. M'Ewan, D. M'Laren, F. T. Moore, G. Nash, D. Robertson. J. Smith, Dr. M'Kenzie, Rev. J. K.. Elliott, and Rev. H. Van Staveren. On the recommendation,of the Hospital Committee it was resolved: "That Mr. D. M'Laren, the treasurer, and the chairman approach the Post and Telegraph Department, with a view to obtaining a reduction of the charges for the telephone exchange subscriptions ; and that the fittings and equip* ment of the new dental department be insured up to £400." The following accounts were passed for payment:—"Wellington Hospital, £4586 18s. 6d.; Charitable Aid aud Ohiro Home, £455 13s. 9d.: Otaki Hospital and Sanatorium, £075 4s. 4d.; Head Office, Public Health, ate, £237 19s. Sd.: total, £5855 16s. 3d.
