WHARF LABOURERS' UNION
ELECTION' OF OFFICERS. The ballot in connection with tlie election bf officers of the Wellington Wharf abonrers . Union for the ensuing year has been completed. Mr. F. Curtico has been elected president, unopposed, and Mr. A. Black vice-presi-dent, unopposed. Out of four nominations, Mr. G. Bruco, late assistant secretary of the old' union, has been elected secretary with 427 votes; the other candidate's being J. Burton, 62; J. H. Hill, 8; and J. Larwood, 4. Mr. H. Oallaghan has been elected assistant secretary, having polled 257 votes, while G. Grey 202, A. Lindsay 21, and R. Bichards 13, were the unsuccessful candidates. For the treasureship, Mr. W. T. Bassett hns been elected with 306 votes, the unsuccessful candidaten beinp D. Smith 102, H. J. Taylor 29, and \V. Jnme3 16. Mr. P. Murphy acted us returning officer, and Messrs. I). Beedy and G. Vincent as scrutiuenrs.
