HODEIDA INCIDENT
TURKEY BACKS DOWN (Rec. December' 18, 0.25 a.m.) Rome, December 17. The Prime Minister, Baron Sonnino, in the Senate, announced that Turkey,, had consented to the- release of the British Consul at Hodeida and the removal of the Vali who was responsible for the outrage at the'- Italian Consulate. The British Consul at Hodeida, a! Turkish Red Sea port, was arrested by tlio Vali after ho had taken, refuge in tho Italian Consulate.
