• MONTHLY MEETING OF THE i BOARD. . !■■ : .'■ ' ■■• '■ i. \ ■■.-■■■ At the monthly meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board last night there were present :• The chairman (Mr. R.. Fletcher), Messrs. C. W. Jones, H. L. Nathan, J. G. Harknoss, J. Trevor, R. A. Wright, A. H. Hindmarsh, D. J. Watson, J. W. M'Ewan, J. Cobbe, A. D. Kennedy, C. E. Daniell,, and M. Cohen. . ■ , ■ , The bank pass books showed that there" was a credit balance of £20,859 Bs. 9d. to current account and a credit balance of £903 os. 3d. to imprest account. The sum of £60,000 was reported as on fixed deposit. Payments amounting to £24,717 7s. 7d. were authorised. • '■-.. ■ \ _ , Oil. the recommendation of the Whairves and Accounts Committee, it was: decided: (1) To call for tenders, closing 5 p.m. ■Wednesday, March 24, 191fi, for supply.of 175 tons cut and punched steel hoops and one ion of malleable cast iron studs for delivery in September and Novembir, 1915; tenders to state alternative prices for dolivery of hoops cased and uncased; and (2) to approve the engineer' 6 plans for a ranee for the Wellington Harbour Board's Miniature Rifle Club near the King's Wharf Shed- No. 8 and to authorise the work to be carried out._ On the motion of Mr. Harkness, it was decided: "That the .resolution agreed to on Wednesday, November 25, 1914, in reference to payments of "war risk" on the contract of Messrs. Briscoe and Co..*. Ltd.,. be-rescinded." . Subsequently it was .decided that, the board shpnld pay the whole of the war risk (about £300) 'instead,of half the amount as previously agreed to. ~-.
