SAILORS-FRIEND SOCIETY
The big, enthusiastic audience that met Miss Betty ; and her party of 'performers last night at the Sailors' Friend 6ooiety's Institute wore fully rewarded with a programme that met the popular taste, as was shown by the many encores and spirit abroad. The chairman, the Missioner,' announced pleasures for Chriatmas, and asked for aid. Spirited vheers rewarded the party, who were: The Misses Chapman,; : Clarke, Sturmand, Loftman, Marriott, Fonntanne, B. Stairmand, 'J. '• Nicholas, and the Messrs. L. Travers, J. Gaudell, Aitken, Sign, Pope, and the Lyrio Club of the Y.W.C.A. Many books were given to outward-bound sailors. ,
