MISS FAGAN'S MUSIC CLASS
ANNUAL CONCERT AND BREAK-UP The annual concert and break-up of Miss Fagan's music class,. 423 Adelaide Road, took place at St. Cuthbert's Churcli Schoolroom, Berhampore, on Monday evening. Thero was a large attendance of the parents and friends of the • pupils present, and tMs occasion' was'one oimoro than passing interest as the pupils decided to donate the proceeds of tho concert to tho Belgium Fund. An excellent programme of musio wae provided, tlie following pupils contributing iteme:—Piano duets. Misses Doris M'Cardlo and Mollie .Fisher, Eileen Mullaney and Irene Teatts, Maudo Browne and Edna Emerson, Madge Janson and Beatrice Emerson, Master-Len-nox M.'Phee and Mies Eileen Gunnion; piano solos, Misses Maude Browne, Doris M'Cardle, Doris Bamfortli, Beatrice Emerson, Mollie Fishex, Madge Janson, Edna Emereon,, Masters Rodney Pankhurst, and Lennox M'Phee; Bongs, Master Rodney Pankhurst, Miss Doris Bamfortli, Masters Stuart and Harvey Emereon; recitations, Masters Eric Fisher and Eric. Pankhurst, and Miss Mollie Fisher. Mrs. Emerson,L.T.C.L., acted aa accompanist. The report for the class for the year discloeod very successful'results, inasmuch as one of the pupils (Master Rodney Pankhurst) secured honours for both singing and playing, and he also secured the "Martha Myers" gold modal awarded by the Trinity College. The following pupils eccured passes in tho Trinity College Examinations: —Misses Mollie' Fisher, Edna' Emerson, Madge Janson, Irene Yoatts, Eileen Mullaney, Doris Bamforth, and Master Lennox M'Pheo, whilst Miss Beatrice Emereon secured a pass in the Royal Academy of Music. ; A feature of the evening -was tho sweets stall, which was attended by Misses Lilias and Hettio Christiej Alice Crease, and Edna Wylie, andthe singing of the song "Please Give Us a Penny" by three of the entaller pupils, Doris Bamforth, Stuart and Harvey Emerson, which resulted in the email trio being literally showered with pennies. This, with the proceeds from the sweet stall and the concert takings, will be handed over to the Belgium Fund. •■ ' '
