Mr. Sampson, urged the removal of the duty on fodder owing to the shortage. Ho asked if the Government had arrived at an agreement upon- the importation of New Zealand fodder. Mr. Tudor (Minister of Oustome) replied that the Federal Government had offered the State Premiers to act as buyer-of New Zealand fodder for all, but the States did not appear anxious to accept the suggestion, as none had applied for a remission of fodder duties.
