N.Z. WAR CONTINGENT ASSOCIATION
The New Zealand War Contingent Association, 25 Victoria Street, Westminster, which is raising a- fund for the purpose of affording aid to the membors of the Now Zealand Expeditionary Force, has issued a circular in which it is etated the objects of tho association are as follow; —' 1. Affording assistance and aid to members of the New Zealand Contingents while in thi3 country and abroad, and generally to look after their wolware. . i 2. To provide and support convalescent homes in England for invalided members of the contingents. 3. To provide needed comforts where possible during war time to members of these contingentß and to those dependent upon them in the United Kingdom, and to make such preparations as are advisable in view of tho hardships of a possible winter campaign. There are two committees —Lady Islington directing the Ladies' Committee, and Lord Plunkett being chairman of the executive. They are ably supported by a strong body of prominent New Zealand ladies and gentlemen. Up to the end of October tho association had received in subscriptions £3623 13s. 6d."
