Captain Wyllie, of the Huddart-Parkcr steamer TJlimavoa, has advised by wireless that he was expected, his vessel to arrive at Wellington from Hobart and Sydney at 7 a.m. to-day. The vessel will berth at the Queen's Wharf, and will sail for LyWclton at 5 p.m. to-day, RETURN OF THE AMOKURA. Captain Hooper, of the Government training ship Amokilra, reported to the Marine Department that he hail arrived nt Akaroa, from the outlying southern islands of New Zealand vestevday morning. The little vessel had experienced very bad weather on the round trip, but had found all the depots intact, with no signs of any easaways. BAD WEATHER ON WEST COAST. Reports received by the local office of the Union Company at 9 a.m. yesterday stated that the weather at Westport had been very bad, and also that thero was a heavy flood in the river. Conseoucntly shinping movements were- at a standstill. The Arahura was outside the bar. and the Pohcrua (ready to sail for Wellington) had been detained inside the entrance. The messages stated that thero was no chance or any shipping movements yesterday. No reports had been received from Greymouth, and it was surmised that tivweather was particularly bad at that port also. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. W.
