& : Mr. G. Neich, of Clarevillo, has had the misfortune to break one of the bones •of his forearm. He was riding one horse and leading another when the animal pulled away/ Mr. Neich fell, breaking "his arm. The school gardens in connection with the annual competition under the auspieces of the Wairarapa and Bast Coast P. and A'. Society havo been judged by Mr. A. R. Hadfield, and the result will bo published this week. A team of girls from the ; Hutt School played a tennis match againstthe Carterton school girls on tlio bowling green courts on Saturday, and after a good afternoon succeeded in defeating their opponents. The Carterton boys also met defeat at cricket at the hands of the. Hutt boys.
