BOYS' INSTITUTE
ANNUAL PRIZE-GIVING. The annual prize-giving ceremony in connection with the Wellington Boys' Institute took place on Friday night, when the various awards granted in the athletic (including swimming and boxing), educational, and other Branches of the institute's work wero distributed. These prizes wero provided out of a ' fund known as' the Harry Drummond i Memorial Fund, left specially for tho purpose, and used each year. A large number of boys, with their parents and '. friends, wero present, and the prizes ; wero distributed by Mrs. G. A. Troup, ' wife of the presidont. An excellent ' musical programme had been arranged by Mr. H. C. W. Blick, and to it tho following contributed: —Miss M'Gill, Messrs. "\V. Sanderfin, A. G. Wallace, C. F. Houstin, W. M'Keon, E. Potter, ; Leigh Riddoll, W. F. Connor, Ellor, : and Kceney. The Boys' Institute Orchestra gavo several items during tho I evening. , At tho conclusion of the prize-giving the boys and tho committee took faro- : well of Mr. W.G. Bennett, director of the institute for the past two years, , who is about to join tho Expedition- 4 arv Forces. Tho'president (Mr. G.
