The third round of the mid-week competitions waa ocnolnded on the Basin ReServe yesterday. afternoon. - The wickets were in first-claw condition. In the match, Rivals—Oriental B,' Oriental had pnt on the fine'score of 274. Rivals, with one wicket down for 135 (Wilson, not out, 59), Boon got to work, and at the end'of the innings' remained unbeaiten, witli the fine score of 221: runs, not out,, which is n reoord for mid-week orioket, and equals Ken. Tucker's reoord. It was tmforete.that Beechey, the other not out man, could not play, which no doubt was the means of Wilson not yetting the reoord.
