The general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, Ltd., yesterday received a cable message from London advising that the board of directors has deolared an interim dividend for the halfyear to September 30 last at the rate of 12 per cent, per annum, which will be paid in the Dominion on January 4. • LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London office, under date. December B;—For the December wool Bales, there was a good selection of merinos, but ■ few croesbrcds were offering. There waß a fair attendance/of buyors, but competition was slow. Merinos declined 10.to 15 per cent., except good shafty 6horts, which were 7i to 10 per cent, lower, but occasionally only 5 per cent. Short and faulty merinos were neglected, crossbreda ivere 5 per cent, dearer. Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd.; advise having received the following cable message from their London agents, under date December B"Crossbreds unchanged, poor selection; merinos declined 10 per cent.; short and faulty ditto, no market." ADVANCE IN TALLOW. The New Zealand.Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London houe, under date December 9:—Tallow advanced sixpence.
