There is recorded an instance of storn 'patriotism from Alsaco. Au old French peasant welcomed the French Army, gave the soldiers refreshment, and then urged them "to go out now to battle and kill my son, who serves with the' German Army." Over 3000 drivers and conductors of London omnibuses are now at the front. Orders for 100,000 tunics for the Emission Army have been placed with Leeds firms.
