There was a large yardine of fat cattle (it Burnside to-day, 205 coming forward. The entry included a line of extra, heavy bullocks from Canterbury. Prices again ■shoved a.;decline, and- several lots werepassed fa, a portion of these being secured later, privately at per 1001b. by an export buyer. 'Best bullocks. £14' to £15 10s.; extra prime, to £18; medium, £12 to £13 10s.; Ugh*, arid unfinished, £10 to £11 10s.; best coins and heifers, £9 10a. to £10 10s.; extra, to £13; others to £8 10s. ' . ' ■ • Fat sheep-The yardinfr was the largest for some time, 3300 conrinjr forward. Sheep were of fair "average quality, but owing to the large entry prices showed a marked decline on last week's rates. Best wethers averaged about Is. to la. 6d. lees than last last weeki while medium sorts suffered to a greater extent. . Ewes were easier fcy about 3e. to 4s. per head. Tho fall in ralues was not eo noticeable in woolly eboep. Exitra- heavy woolly wethers to 48e. • best, 325. to 365.; medium, 28s. to-295.; inferior, 255. to 275.; best shorn wethers, 28s. to 305.; extra,to 345. 6d.; medium, 255. to 275.: inferior to 12s. 9d.: best woolly, ewes.to. 325. 6d., extra to 375. 9d.; best shorn ewes, to 235.; medium, -to 305.; light, to 18s. Fat lambs—276 were penned; and owing to the lorco,yarding Airicea were again easier. Best, to 18s.; medium, to 16a. 9d.; small and inferior, to 14s. 6d.
