Joseph Ward concluded his campaign to-night at Gore, wliero he 6poke to about 1500 people.v This morniug Sir Joseph Ward went Ho Stewart Island. At the conclusion of a speech a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence'was carded with enthusiasm, the motion also expressing the hope that Sir '■ Joseph Ward would bo restored to the position of Prime Minister. At Gore to-night Sir Joseph Ward received an .ovation. He contended that there,were signs of a vast difference between now and three years ago, and twitted the Reform Party with getting hold of thenewspapers all over the country. The speaker, dealt with ; various political questions of the day on the lines of former addresses, and at the termination a vote of congratulation upon his great tight and thanks and confidence and ' the nope that'the Liberal ■ Party, with , Sir J. (J. Ward iii command, would be returned to power, was N carried unanimously., with cheers.
