- SIGN6R SALANDRA'S SPEECH GERMAN PRESS RECEIVES IT IN SILENCE / '• London, December 7. German newspapers have published, without comment, the speech of the Italian Foreign Minister (Signor Salandra) defining the attitude of Italy.in regard to the war. ("Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services.) / The Republicans, in debating Signor. Salandra's declaration (that Italy's aim cannot be exclusively neutral) favoured Italy's intervention. They predicted that when the bugles called the men to arms all would respond with fervent enthusiasm without distinction oi class.
