SWISS CLAIM TO OVER-TERRITORY-RIGHTS i Berne, Deoember 7.. Sir Edward Grey '(Britjsh Foreign Minister), replying to the Swiss Federal Couuoil, said that' if. the British airmen proceeding to Friedrichshafen passed over Swiss' this was contrary to the intentions of the British Government. "While regretting their non-observance of their: instruct tions, ho wished to omphasiso that its orders to jts airmen must not. be in, terpreted as. a recognition of a sovereignty in the air. . The Federal Council replied, thank? ing Sir Edward Grey, and added that as international law does not recognise any limit to the sovereign in the air, th» Council must olaita that iOYereignty to thejuiUsteav.
