Since last reporting supplies pf local fruit have inoreased. especially tomatoes, wliicharo novc coming to hand in very fair quantities. l Grapes, plums, and cherries are now to hand, and realism" -well. Australian consignments are still very small, cherries now l>eing the main supSly. .The Mamma, from San Franci6<so,' rought a good shipment 'of . apples, oranges, and bananas, together, with a. V few lemons, all of which are being eagerly taken up in anticipation of the Christmas trade. The first of the, Italian lemons are also on iand.- Vegetables generally are in. heavier - supply, prices easing accordingly. Fresh eggs are very firm. ; Botli new and old potatoes havo advanced during the last few days. Onions are vary scarce at advanced prices.
