, —.—a—. MNTJAIi MEETING. Tho annual meeting of the shareholders of the Wellington Publishing Company was held on Friday last at the Chamber of Commerce, the Hon. C. J. Johnston presiding. The directors' report showed a successful year's operations, special reference being made to tlie record, increase in the circulation of iThi; Dominion newspaper during the past twelve months. In connection with the declaration of. a dividend, mention was made of the proposed' extensions of tho company's business, it being intimated that a new printing press of the most modern mako was due to arrive here shortly, together'with other plant. Dr. 6. E. Anson and Mr. H. Williams were re-elected directors, without opposition, and Messrs. Menzies and Hunt were re-elected auditors. A special vote of thanks was passed to the chairman of directors, the Hon. J. Duthie, M.L.C., who was unavoidably absent througn indisposition; and tile hope was expressed that ho would be 'speedily restored to good jhealtli. Votes of thanks to the directors and staff closed tho proceedings. ' . 1
