Wedding at Eastbourne. At St. Albans' Church, Eastbourne, on Friday last Miss Nellie Baker, daughter of Mr. J. G. Baker, of Tauranga, was married to Mr. Mackay Campbell, of Whatatatu (East Coast). The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Sola, vicar of St. Albans, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Tobyn, chaplain attached to the Supplementary Expeditionary Force at Trcntham. Mr. Campbell is a member of the League of Frontiersmen, and is at'present in camp at Trentham. He was attended as best man by his comrade, Trooper A. L. Martyn. The bridesmaids wore Misses Hiscocks and A. H. Baker. The bride, who"'was given away by her cousin, Mr. C. A. Baker, wore a dress of cream cloth, with satin facings.

Wedding at Featherston. , Our Featherston correspondent writes that in the Presbyterian Church yesterday morning the marriage of Mr. William George Miller, son of Mr. David Miller, Chief Inspector of the Postal Department, and Miss Alice Margaret Aitchison, fourth daughter of Mr.'and Mrs. Samuel Aitchison, well known and highly-respected residents, was celebrated. The bridegroom was for a number of years located here as a member of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand, and is now a resident of Te Awamutu. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. K. Stowelf in the presence of relatives and a few friends of the fam ilea concorned. The bride, who was given away by her father, ,vas accompanied by three of her sisters, Misses Edith, Florence, and Rosalie, whilst Mr. David D. Miller, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, aud Mr. Ohas. Aitchison, brother of the bride, &s groomsman.

V.M.CA. Conversazlono, The • annual conversazione of the Y.M.C.A. was held in the association's buildings last ovening, when an excellent programme of songs, recitations, etc., was presented to a gathoring of members and friends. The reception ball had been arranged for the occasion with stands and bowls of foliage plants and flowers, and a red-covered dais was occupied by Mrs. Low, president of tho Ladies' Auxiliary, Mr. Kcrsley, president of the Y.M.C.A., , and Mr. A. Jameson, M.A., national secretary. Intervals were allowed for conversation, and a vory pleasant time generally was spent by those prosent. Elocutionary items wore contributed by Mr. Frank Wright,,Miss Marie Fix, who recited, appropriately, "Tho Old Gorman:" Miss E. Lissack, who gave "Mrs. Watson" and "Tho Ballad of Splendid Silence." Miss B. Brittuin, Mr. Laslett Extou, Miss. Zelmo Hugo, and Mr!. Allwright contributed songs: Miss Lonsdale gave somo humorous songs, which wore much enjoyed by her audience, and duets wore sung by Miss Hugo and Mr. Goudie, Messrs. Exton and Allwright. Mr. W. Jennings played several of the accompaniments, and encores were very fretmeut. A brief address was given mid-way through the programmo by Mr.' A. Jameson, national secretary, and supper at the close of the-programme brought the evening to a dose. The Mayor, Mr. J. P. Luke, and Mrs. Luke attended the conversazione.

Mrs. Frank Grady is giving an "at home" on Monday evening next at whioh the presentations of certificates to students in connection with the Richmond Free Kindergartens will take place. There will also' be a sale of students' 'handiwork.

The final meeting of the Kelburn Ladies' Committee in connection with the Belgian Christmas Fund will bo held on Friday, December 4, at Mrs. Buxton's, 40 Central Terrace, at 3 pin., and all members of the committee are requested to be' in attendance.

Mrs. E. Nahr (Westport) is visiting Wellington, and is staying at the Royal Oak.

The dramatic and dance recitals given on Saturday afternoon and evening at His Majesty's Theatre, Auckland, by the girls' branch of the Victoria Ledgue attraoted large audiences on both occasions, and the object of the performances—the Belgian Relief Fund—is expected to benefit to the extent of over £100 as a result of the efforts of those concerned.

On August 5, at St. John's Church, Darlinghurst (N.S.W.), by the Rev. E. C. Beck, Commander Charles La Primaudaye Lewin, R.N., Acting-Captain of H.M.A.S, Encounter, youngest son of Commander W. H._ Lewin, R.N., of Frant. Sussex, was married to Miss Ruth Dangar, daughter of the Hon. H. C. Dangar, of Grantham, Sydney.

A public meeting will be held in the Public Library, Newtown, this evening, at 8 o'clock, to form a committee to assist in the Belgian Christmas Fund movement.

The Mayoress (Mrs. J. P. Luke) invites those ladies who are willing to assist in the Belgian Christmas, Shilling Fund to meet her in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, this afternoon, at 8.30. The assistance of a large number of ladies_ is required to thoroughly work the city. The committee hopes that many of the active lady members of the various tennis, hockey, and croquet clubs will be present.

The Dominion Bazaar, which is being held in the Palais .de Danse, Vivian Street, was again well patronised last evening, ..and the side-shows did excellent business. The school choir contributed a chorus —"Music and her Sister Songs"—and also a part song. Mr. John M'Lean. contributed a solo and a dance, and F. Reeves a recitation. Today there will be a matinee for children, and a programme for thoir particular benefit will' be given.

On Wednesday tho-Hutt No-License League held a picture performance at the l'etono Lyceum Theatre, the building being crowded to tho doors. Items were rendered by the Misses Foster and Cross, and Messrs. Hardham and Maude, and appropriate pictures were screened.
