SIR J. G. WARD AT WHANGAREI
. (Br Teleirap])-Pre?s Association) Whangarel, November 30. Sir Joseph Ward delivered a political address bofore a largo audience in the Whangarei Town Hall to-night. Th<v county chairman, Mr. J[; R, .M'Lines presided. The- Leader of tho Opposition spoke largely on the lines of his previous speeches through tho country, delivering a severe criticism of the administration and legislative work of his political opponents 'and outlining th« proposals of the Liberal Party if returned to power. The meeting' was intensely enthusiastic, and at the conclusion of tho speech a unanimous vote of confidence in the Liberal Party, under Sir Joseph Ward, with the hope that lie would bo returned to power by a substantial majority at the forthcoming elections-, was carried, on the motion of Mr. ft. Thompson, seconded' by Mr. T. A. Williams. The meeting dispersed after hearty cheers for the Opposition Leader. Sir Joseph Ward was subsequently entoi'toiiiocl at supper before leaving for* Auckland.
